Yay, so you have created a new Pulse
Account, and now you want to add your first
traffic source!
Here are the steps to
do it:
- Log into Pulse.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Navigate to Traffic
Sources.
- Click the + Add Traffic
Source button
- Select / sign into the Google
Analytics Account that has
access to the account you'd
like to add a view for.
- Authorize Pulse to view your
Google Analytics data by
clicking the Allow button.
- A modal will appear with a
list of all the Google
Analytics Accounts that
are accessible from your
login.
- Select the checkbox next to
the Account you'd like to use
and click the Next
Step button.
- The list of available Properties that are
available under your Account
will show on the list.
- Select the checkbox next to
the Property you wish to add
to Pulse and click the Next
Step button.
- The list of available Views that are
available under your Property
will show on the list.
- Select the checkbox next to
the View you wish to add to
Pulse, and click
the Next
Step button.
- A summary of your selections
will appear in the next
step.
- Add a friendly name for your
view in the Optional
Name field, and click
the Connect button.
- You will receive a success
message at the bottom of the
modal, and the modal will
close automatically.
- A modal will pop up indicating
that your data is now
processing.
- Click the OK button.
- Your data will show
as Pending on the
Traffic Sources screen and on
the Market Map and
Infographics screens.
- You will receive an email
notification when your view
has finished.
- Once your view is processed, you'll be
able to view the Market Map and Top
Segments for any date ranges available
to you under your current plan.
